Math Carnival

Spent the morning at the princess' school. I was helping out at a Math carnival. There events were Olympic themed and included biathlon, curling, luge, snow ball toss, speed skating and an estimating station. I ran the snowball toss, didn't have chance to get any pics too busy. Was decked out in a Vancouver Olympic shirt; had to get in to the spirit of things. Working with the kids was great fun.

Happy Valentines Day

Took the princess to a Valentine's Day Event at a local college. Student athletes representing several NCAA Div 2 East Coast conference schools ran a carnival with games and activities. The young men and women represented their respective schools proudly. All were enthusiastic and patient with the kids.
Also lost a tooth just prior to arriving at the event.

No snowmageddon for us, and I'm glad

The princess woke up quite early today in the hopes of having some snow to play in. She'd made tentative plans with a neighbor for a snow date.

She informed me there was no snow, I suggested she go back to bed and let me sleep. Yeah, right.

Why does this child not want to get up on a school day and is up at the crack of dawn on the weekends?

Disco Party Lights

Driving home on the parkway last night, a police cruiser was presenting a motorist with a safe driver reward aka summons.

The princess commented on the flashing blue and red lights on the police cruiser. "Disco Party Lights!" No disco party I want to attend was my response.
